LUZURA PERALTA

I am a gender-fluid Multi-disciplinary Artist, Mayan Medicine Practitioner & Somatic Healing Facilitator of Celtic-Taino decent; based in the North-East of Scotland.

My personal practice and my offerings are rooted in devotion to Her, in all expressions, as the womb source of creation. I am motivated by a deep prayer to assist in dissolving the illusions of separation, disconnection and displacement felt by many of us in this human experience.

Prior to serving this prayer, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) honours degree in Dance & Professional Practice, from the University of Coventry. Leading me to obtain 20+ years experience as a Choreographer and Somatic Movement Practitioner, with a special interest in nature based practice.My offerings are intended to serve as pathways to self discovery, and empowerment through direct engagement with truth.

I am a student and practitioner of Traditional Mayan Medicine, continuously training under the guidance of Tzotzil healer and elder Sofia Diaz Hernandez, from Chiapas, Mexico. Receiving these teachings profoundly initiated my own transformation and healing processes. Helping me to gain a much broader perspective of the world, and the self, as a human-being and artist.

In 2023, I became an ICF Acc. Neurosomatic Intelligence Coach, prompted by my own lived experience of CPTSD, FND, Eating Disorder and Addiction. Through this work I am deeply passionate about supporting others to understand the potential of their human-ness, their body, and the language of the nervous system to optimise embodiment, well-being and growth.

I currently work with clients globally online, and in-person through retreats, workshops and ceremony. I additionally host a private home studio where I offer for 1:1 sessions in Stonehaven, Scotland.
